Printable Monthly Monster-Calendars. Not every monster hides under the bed. Some of them are cuddly, others are cute, and these printable monthly calendars are just as useful as they are creative! The accordion-style creation allows you to have a space for every day of the month so you can plan your family fun with ample room to write, and when you're ready to get on the go, you simply fold them up into pocket-sized masterpieces!
What you'll need:
Paper (light-weight paper is easier to fold when you're finished)
Scissors
Glue
What you'll do:
Print the one you're working on.
Begin by cutting the center line first.
Score the dotted lines with a ballpoint pen. This will make folding easier before you cut all the strips.
Cut all four strips.
Glue them to make one continuous strip. (A ruler will help you keep everything lined up.)
Use a small rubber band to keep the accordion folded.
Chalkboard Wall Calendar. If you're looking for a way to teach numbers and make chores and teaching moments more visible, this chalkboard wall calendar could be an exceptional addition to your household.
What you'll need:
Chalkboard contact paper (check online resources like Amazon if you can't find it at your local craft store)
Exacto knife
Straight-edged ruler
Chalk
Sticky tack
What you'll do:
Cut 3" wide strips from your contact paper.
Cut the strips into 3" x 3" squares. (These squares will represent the days of the month.)
Cut one longer strip at 3" x 8". (This strip will represent the month.)
With the strips laid out, write the days on them and any events you want to add. (It's easier to add this information before you put the squares on the wall.)
Place the squares on the wall by simply peeling the back layer off the contact paper. Alternatively, you can leave the paper backing on the squares and simply adhere to your new calendar to the wall by adding sticky tack to the back of your new artwork.
Handprint Calendar. This is a fun one, and it's a great way to get your kids directly involved in the creative and planning process in your family. This KidCalendar takes hand and fingerprints to a whole new level by representing symbols from each month to personalize the season.
