Author and Illustrator, Caroline Arnold, Shares Love of Reading and Writing

Students in pre-k through sixth grades welcomed author and illustrator, Caroline Arnold, on Friday, February 20 to All Saints'.
Caroline Arnold has been writing since 1980 and is the author of over 150 books for children. On Friday, February 20, students in pre-k through sixth grades were treated to special grade-specific presentations from Mrs. Arnold. Students learned about her books, the writing process, and what it is like to be a nonfiction author and an illustrator. Mrs. Arnold emphasized the process that she goes through when researching and writing a nonfiction book, since it is similar to the process that students go through when writing a school report.

With the many research projects that happen during the second semester, this was a great opportunity to learn about the process that a nonfiction writer goes through to find ideas for her books, to research the ideas, and to write the nonfiction books.

Mrs. Arnold shared her experience at All Saints’ in her blog that you can read at http://carolinearnoldart.blogspot.com/.
