Since 1999, the Arizona Episcopal Schools Foundationn has given more than $7.75 million in scholarships to students thanks to Arizona taxpayers who have contributed to our tax credit program. Those scholarships have allowed children from all backgrounds to have an Episcopal private school education. You can make your donation online HERE.
ARIZONA TAX CREDIT INFORMATION FOR INDIVIDUALS
Take the Credit!
Arizona taxpayers can receive a dollar for dollar tax credit up to $1,056 for married couples, filing jointly and $528 for single filers for contributions made to a qualified School Tuition Organization, such as Arizona Episcopal Schools Foundation (AESF). AESF collects funds to support students attending five member schools across the state. The tax credit for contributions to private school tuition organizations is claimed on Form 323.
For example, if your state income tax obligation is $1,500 and you contribute the maximum $1,034, your income tax payment to the state is reduced to $466. Instead of giving all of you money to the State, you are diverting it to support deserving students in our All Saints’ community.
Take MORE Credit!
As of 2012, the State of Arizona has added an additional “plus” tax credit for private education. After contributing the maximum amount on Form 323 ($1,056/married; $528/single), you are eligible to reduce your tax liability and take an extra $1,050 for joint filers and $525 for single filers in tax credit. The new, additional tax credit for contributions to private school tuition organizations is claimed on Form 348 by April 15, 2015.
All contributions to AESF qualify you to receive a tax deduction on your Federal taxes, if donations are made before December 31, 2014. If made after the 2014 tax year, the deduction is applied to the 2015 tax year.
A.R.S. 43-1089 (G) now allows you to donate up until you file your Arizona income taxes, not later than April 15, and have it count toward the prior tax year at the election of the donor, starting with tax year 2010. A.R.S. 43-1089 (C) allows for a yearly increase to the donation maximum per the Consumer Price Index, starting January 1, 2011.
